Empowering Women at Work: How Deliveroo is Redefining Career Development

In this episode, Christina Lewis is joined by Bea Jones, Senior Insight Manager from Deliveroo and Helen Ilsley from The Executive Coaching Consultancy Ltd to explore a transformative programme designed to support women’s growth and progression in the workplace. Rather than encouraging women to adapt to traditional structures, this initiative helps them thrive by building on their strengths and leading authentically.

Bea shares the motivation behind launching the programme — tackling the visible drop-off of women in senior roles — while Helen outlines the four key pillars it’s built upon. The discussion also delves into the challenges faced during implementation, including overwhelming interest and the need to involve line managers effectively.

The results speak for themselves: continued community connections beyond the programme, meaningful qualitative feedback, and tangible career progress — with 30% of participants promoted and 79% reporting career advancement within just three months.
