With extensive experience as a HR professional across a number of industries, I am currently in a role which allows me to play out my passion which lies in shaping workplace culture, driving employee engagement, champion DEI, and elevate the voice of employees so that they feel safe, heard, connected.

Officially, as Head of Employee Engagement and Experience, my role is to empower the Culture strategy for EMEA by fostering an environment where employees are highly engaged with a sense of belonging and empowerment, enabling an enhanced employee experience.

I am therefore currently responsible for the creation, delivery and reporting of employee engagement initiatives, and driving ownership and accountability of leaders, managers and employees to strengthen our organisational culture.

Working with teams across various stakeholder groups both within region and globally in a complex matrix structure to support a programme of continuous organisational enhancement which helps us to achieve our vision.

Gillian Green has worked in the People Experience and Culture space since 2018. During her time at Sainsbury's and now, more recently, at SSP, she has always pushed to use colleague listening to make data-driven decisions when enhancing the People Experience. She inspires leaders to shift mindsets and behaviours, creating more inclusive and energising cultures that lead to a business' increased high-performance. Prior to People Experience and Culture, Gillian spent the first half of her career advocating for industry in trade associations.

Laura is the People Potential & Talent Lead at Magenta Living, a not-for-profit housing provider managing nearly 13,000 properties and housing around 10% of Wirral’s population. Laura has championed a creative and people-centric approach to employee engagement rooted in a deep understanding of their employees. Faced with the challenge of connecting with a diverse workforce, many of whom are often on the road and off-site, Laura and the team at Magenta Living spearheaded a remarkable transformation in employee engagement.
